Here at Missing Piece we’re looking forward to the cluster@#$@ that is SXSW, the way that you look forward to going to your high school reunion, or running a marathon, or getting a tattoo. Painful, exhilarating, memorable…and it leaves a mark.

This year, we’ve got 13 artists performing at SXSW; we’re packing insoles, shorts, sunscreen, and multiple pairs of earplugs to get us through.

The album is rounded out by legendary Muscle Shoals keyboardist and songwriter Spooner Oldham and several more recent Survivors, including Muscle Shoals-based guitarist Kelvin Holly, a veteran of Little Richard’s band; drummer Phil Jones (Tom Petty, Joe Walsh); and bassists Benny Rietveld (Santana) and Shonna Tucker (Drive-By Truckers).
