Ensure communication and coordination between all independents, building upon successes, and pointing out needed areas of focus on a day-to-day basis.
Oversee:
- Marketing plans and budgets
- Production and manufacturing
- International marketing and licensing
- Pursuit of appropriate touring/performance opportunities
- Distribution, sales, placement and pricing (physical & online)
General Marketing:
- Create marketing plans and budgets for approval
- Create project timelines and recommended product rollout (digital and physical)
- Hire and direct press, radio, online, and independents
- Discuss radio track and formats
- Direct weekly project conference calls with independants
- Provide weekly highlight updates to label/distributors on projects
- Strategic placements and licensing with film, TV, ad agencies and partnerships with consumer brands
- Media buying
Sales/Distribution:
- Distribution, sales and pricing (physical & online): work with distributor to develop and evaluate appropriate ship goals, coop campaign, discounts and roll out
- If no distributor is set for project, can offer various distribution options
Online Marketing:
- Oversee development of artist website/myspace page, all social media networks and online tools
- Work with label to develop and commission video content, including music videos, YouTube/blog posts, live performances, and develop strategy for rollout/placements of content
- Create and implement online banner and advertising plan
- Direct social networking outreach
- Work all important digital retailers for project placement and strategize about format and pricing at those stores
- Commission and market iPhone apps (additional service and budget)
